A couple of weeks ago Google launched its Pixel 3 and 3 XL flagship phones. Two impeccable smart phones that are arguably the only real competition for the new iPhones. These prestigious and pretty phones are the cream of the crop with all the newest bells and whistles that describe a great 2018 smartphone. One of them being the price. Such great tech comes at a steep price with the phone that has the lowest specs starting at $799 and the prices go higher with the specs.
In a time when the economy is biting and the desire for good stuff is on the rise, flagship prices make it difficult for companies to reach all the people they would want to. Apple saw this and released along side their bigger and pricier flagships, a mid range smartphone called the iphone XR with lower specs and a lower price to go with. Rumors in the tech corridors have it that Google is planning to release a mid-range version of their Pixel phones called the Google Pixel Lite.
The word is that the Pixel Lite will have a 5.5 inch screen, 4 GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, no microSD card slot plus a 12-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front camera. The biggest feature of the Lite is the return of the headphone jack. Yes! the headphone jack is not yet dead and I honestly believe this will be in the top three best features of this phone after the camera and build, that is if Google uses its Pixel camera magic is this one as well. It is not yet certain when the Pixel Lite will drop or how much it will cost but it is sure to give other manufacturers of mid ranged phones a run for their money.
